In these Tai Chi Qigong sessions, based on the Lee Family Style of Tai Chi Chuan, we enjoy a variety of flowing gentle movements like dances, called Forms, to help to keep the body and mind active and engaged
These movements may improve balance, sleep & flexibility while also easing joints

Qigong Sessions

Gentle repeated, easy to follow, Tai Chi Qigong movements to relax, de-stress the mind & ease the body
These movements can be described more as standing Tai Chi breathing exercises so suitable for everyone of all ages and abilities including those who may need to sit for all or most of the session
These movements also help to strengthen leg muscles, ease the joints & spine, calm the nervous system and leave you feeling restored and replenished
Those with fatigue, fibromyalgia, & similar are welcome to come and learn how to move without effort and support their own well-being in a space to feel accepted while navigating the roller coaster of life.
Attendees with the following conditions have found the session helpful
Balance issues, high blood pressure, Insomnia, Parkinson's, M.E., Fibromyalgia, Neck, Joint & back discomfort

Helpful Information
What to Wear
Wear anything comfortable. We suggest that you wear layers.
Shoes - Desford, Elmesthorpe, Nuneaton & Stapleton Sessions
You can wear anything that feels steady and helps you to feel balanced, perhaps soft shoes, pumps, trainers, non-slip socks or you can be barefoot
Shoes - Hinckley Sessions
Shoes that you have been wearing outside are not allowed in the actual studio. You can leave your outdoor shoes in the entrance area so bring non-slip socks/slippers or a pair of pumps/trainers that have clean soles to change into. You can also be barefoot.
What to Bring
We suggest that you bring a drink. You do not need anything else.
You will not need a mat as we do not lie down on the floor
Start & Finish Times
The times stated are the actual session times
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before so you are ready to start
You may like to sit for a few minutes after the session is finished before you leave
Booking Classes
You do not need to book any session You can turn up at any time.
(EXCEPT FRIDAY MORNING HINCKLEY - YOU NEED TO CONTACT DEBBIE TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS A SPACE FOR YOU)
However, if you attend regularly, it is helpful to let us know when you will be on holiday or unable to attend for any reason. You do not need to tell us why. This helps us to plan the sessions and manage the catering where we offer a cuppa afterwards.
Paying for your Sessions
We do not take card payments at the village halls or the studio

There is street parking outside the hall and in the streets nearby
Elmesthorpe Parking
There is a free car park next to the hall
Hinckley Parking
There is no parking outside the studio.
St Mary's car park is the closest and is about a 2 minute walk. St Mary's Road, Hinckley, LE10 1EQ
Sainsburys is also a short walk away
Finding Attleborough Liberal Club Session & Parking
The session is in the function room of Attleborough Liberal Club, Bull Street, Attleborough Nuneaton , CV11 4JX
There is a large free car park at the back of the club that is accessed off George Street
You enter the function room from the car park. You will see the wooden gates & bins to the left, as you look at the club from the car park. This is where you will go in through the fire exit doors.
Stapleton Parking
There is a free car park next to the hall

The adaptations we have made to the Shibashi Qigong Set 1 movements create an energetically balanced, inclusive, relaxing, de-stressing therapeutic session for people of all ages and abilities
If you follow along at home then please always listen to your body, nothing should cause you any discomfort, perhaps watch the videos first and then decide if this is right for you. If anything hurts then stop immediately
